HMAS Syphon

This never-before-seen video shows the launch of the Navy’s most expensive ship to date, HMAS Syphon.

The secret launch was carried out at an intelligence facility and attended only by the military hierarchy.

For national security reasons, the total cost was not disclosed, but inside security leaks suggest the cost could be as high as the equivalent of three nuclear submarines. 

The military has released a statement saying HMAS Syphon would become an essential part of the Navy’s Fleet of invaluable diving wrecks.
